induction & certification
All members are expected to complete an Accredited Safeguarding Courses as mandatory requirements to be certified before being inducted into the Academy as Associate Fellows or Fellows
2. There are 2 Levels of Examinations to be completed for Fellowship to be gained (Safeguarding Modules & DSL Modules).
EXEMPTIONS
Exemptions could be granted on case-by-case-basis depending on relevant prior learning achievement and relevant work experience.
Prospective candidates are expected to send their CVs to the Administrator, Training & Development.
CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
All members are expected to compete at least 2 CPD courses. They must also attend all conferences, seminars, and workshops. In addition to the above, Fellows and Senior Fellows must attend at least 1 CPD course on Leadership or Governance.
INDUCTION REQUIREMENTS
To be inducted as a member of the Academy, all prospective members must fulfil the following requirements:
PART 1: Completion of the Academy of Safeguarding Certification Examinations.
PART 2: Attending Pre-Induction Workshop and Induction Ceremony.

Must be a reputable organisation: educational, health and social care services.
Must make it compulsory for all staff irrespective of ranks to complete Level 1 Safeguarding Examination.
